Find your size in two minutes

Every Montcleaf pair is sized in UK sizes. Measure your foot once, check it against the chart, and order with confidence.

Measuring your foot

You'll need a sheet of paper, a pencil and a ruler or tape measure. Measure in the evening, when your feet are at their largest, and wear the socks you'd wear with the shoes.

Measure both feet — most people have one slightly longer than the other. Use the larger measurement.

Place the paper against a wall
Put a sheet of paper flat on a hard floor with one edge touching the skirting board.

Stand with your heel to the wall
Stand on the paper with your weight evenly spread and your heel flat against the wall.

Mark your longest toe
Draw a line on the paper at the tip of your longest toe — this isn't always the big toe.

Measure from the wall to the line
Measure in centimetres and find that figure in the chart below.

Size chart

Find your foot length in the last two columns, then read across to the UK size. That's the size to order.

Between two sizes?

Go up. A leather shoe softens and gives slightly with wear, but it won't gain length.

Wider feet

Our shoes are cut to a standard width. If you usually need a wider fitting, take the next size up.

Thicker socks

If you'll mostly wear these with thick or winter socks, allow for the extra by sizing up.
